Job Summary
Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate patient care plans, and perform initial preoperative assessments. Develop plans of care, explain subsequent surgical phases, and provide comfort measures and psychological support to patients and family members. Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients under anesthesia or conscious sedation while administering medications via direct intravenous and other routes as directed. Provide patient education and collaborate with physicians and colleagues to ensure shared success in reproductive medicine.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
- Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
Desired Qualifications
- 2 to 3 years clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience strongly preferred
