Job Summary
Establish and maintain effective communication with hospital departments while implementing policies to ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory agencies. Investigate incidents and accidents to ensure patient, physician, and employee safety. Manage department operations and finances, overseeing staffing, scheduling, and supply inventory for perioperative services. Coordinate schedule and staffing needs, serving as a liaison with physicians and vendors to prioritize equipment and supply requirements. Monitor performance metrics to drive quality improvement and facilitate multidisciplinary patient care planning. Requires current Arizona RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS certification, and five years of OR management experience. Master's degree preferred. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Associate Degree in Nursing (from an accredited program) with an equivalent level of working experience
- Current RN licensure in the state of Arizona
- Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or obtained within 90 days of hire
- A minimum of five years of nursing experience
- A minimum of five - ten years OR management experience
- Senior leadership experience
- Demonstrated progressive nurse leadership experience at manager or director level
- Oversight of SPD
- Extensive customer relations
- Proven experience leading process improvement, clinical services and interdepartmental projects and collaboration
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Previous RN experience in the orthopedics and/or spine
- Five to seven years of nursing experience
- CNOR certification
- Possession of the knowledge and skills associated to obtain certification
- Leadership experience performing as a leader of leaders
