Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while monitoring conditions and reporting status changes to physicians. Administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments accurately, performing nursing interventions per hospital protocols. Document all activities in the electronic medical record and educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop care plans, respond to emergencies, and adhere to infection control standards. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and staff meetings. Requires current Kentucky RN license, BLS, and ACLS certification within six months. Full-time, 1st shift Monday-Friday 6:30a-3p with on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in nursing
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky
- BLS
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
- Effective communication, teamwork, and time management skills
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR)
- Associate Degree with related experience
- KY licensed RN
- ACLS, within 6 months of hire

- PALS preferred
