Job Summary
Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide optimal patient care throughout the surgical visit, ensuring proper positioning for airway, circulation, and nerve damage prevention. Assess patient health status, monitor patients under local anesthesia per policy, and document all care, treatments, and responses into the electronic medical record. Identify and minimize potential risks, organize and count supplies and instruments according to physician preference cards, and label specimens for pathology or laboratory. Execute emergency protocols, perform narcotic counts, and lock emergency carts at the end of each surgical day. Assist with transferring patients between bed and stretcher as needed. This role requires an active Nevada RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications, with PALS required within six months. One year of nursing or operating room experience is needed. Required Qualifications
- Active Nevada Nursing License (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS certification)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS certification)
- One year of nursing experience OR one year of operating room experience (orderly, surgical technologist, etc.)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS certification)
Desired Qualifications
- One year of experience as an operating room circulator RN
