OR Circulator

Prepare surgery suites by gathering, organizing, and preparing surgical supplies and equipment for procedures. Monitor inventory of all surgical supplies and equipment, notifying appropriate individuals when supplies are needed. Operate medical equipment and perform technical skills according to set policies and standards of care; restock suites with appropriate supplies when procedures end. Collaborate with the surgical and clinical team to develop coordinated outcomes regarding patient progress and care. Record patient intraoperative information accurately and concisely on each patient's medical chart. Ensure operating rooms are maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner at all times while following established HIPAA policies and procedures. Assume accountability for attendance and timely completion of mandatory training programs, unit-specific requirements, and unit meetings. Requires high school diploma, minimum one year of related experience, and Medical Assistant Certification or Registration depending on state.
