Job Summary
Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the operating room, assisting physicians during procedures and scrubs while maintaining a sterile environment. Conduct thorough patient assessments, administer prescribed medications, and monitor vital signs before, during, and after surgery. Respond to medical emergencies, participate in code team activities, and implement infection control protocols to ensure patient safety. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans, advocate for patient rights, and provide education on medical conditions and post-discharge care. Document all findings and interventions accurately in the medical record. Maintain regular attendance and adhere to all organizational policies, standards, and the nursing process to support desired patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting
- Strong knowledge of the nursing process and clinical nursing practices
- Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively
- Proficient in administering medications and monitoring for side effects
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documenting patient care
- Knowledge of safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure
- BCLS - Basic Life Support

- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation
