OR Assistant (Part-Time)

Job Summary
Manage operating room supplies, equipment, and instruments by maintaining established par levels, operating sterilization equipment, and preparing case carts. Monitor the OR perpetual inventory to ensure fiscal management and adhere to aseptic technique and Guest Relations Policy standards. Assist with room turnovers, other clinical duties, and staff training programs while assuming full accountability for quality performance. Requires BLS certification and one year of materials management or operating room experience. Part-time schedule with competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
Required Qualifications
- BLS certification
- Must have a working knowledge of aseptic technique
- Must be able to operate sterilization equipment as necessary
- Must maintain established par levels on supplies, and materials
- Must maintain a working knowledge of the OR Perpetual inventory
- Must be able to prepare case carts
- Must maintain the standards of the Guest Relations Policy
- Must participate in the training and in-service programs for staff
- Must assume responsibility and accountability at all times for quality performance
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- High school or equivalent
- Under a year of materials management or related operating room experience
