Job Summary
The OR Aide provides bedside and unit support in the surgical environment under nursing direction. Responsibilities include transporting surgical patients to and from the Unit, assisting with moving and positioning patients, adhering to infection control policies, maintaining inventory and equipment, supporting handoffs and communications among caregivers, orienting new staff, and assisting in perioperative areas (OR, PACU, Pre/Post-Op). Requires teamwork, cost containment, and a positive attitude. Must meet high school or equivalent, possess strong English communication skills, and work with physicians, staff, and patients. BLS certification and LA City Fire Life Safety training are required (or obtained within specified timelines). The role is full-time, evening shifts, non-exempt and unionized; hourly rate ranges from $21.00 to $33.15. USC Keck Medicine emphasizes equal opportunity and accommodations.
Required Qualifications
