Job Summary
Conduct in-person disability assessments for U.S. Veterans by performing thorough eye exams, including Visual Field Testing (VFT), and reviewing electronic medical records via a secure web portal. Accurately document exam findings and complete required VA forms while noting that this non-treating, non-determination role focuses solely on assessments. Work a 1-day-per-week schedule with a caseload of 4-6 Veterans daily at an in-person location in Wichita, KS. No on-call duties are required.
Required Qualifications
- Holds an active & unrestricted Optometry license
- Proficient in Visual Field Testing (VFT)
- Comfortable using technology to review records and complete documentation
