Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive eye exams for U.S. Veterans, including Visual Field Testing (VFT), while reviewing medical records through a secure web portal. Submit evaluation forms within 24 hours of each exam to support the VA's SHA process. This part-time, 1099 role involves one to two days per week of assessment-only work, with no treatment or determination responsibilities. You will analyze findings to create accurate, timely reports for veterans who have served our country.
Required Qualifications
- A licensed Optometrist or Ophthalmologist
- Proficient in Visual Field Testing (VFT)
- Credentialed to meet the VA's requirements
- Skilled in analyzing medical records and exam findings to create accurate, timely reports
- Exceptional in both written and oral communication
- Detail-oriented and capable of submitting forms within required timelines
