Job Summary
Optometrist or Ophthalmologist needed to perform in-person disability assessments for U.S. Veterans as part of the VA disability benefits process. Responsibilities include reviewing electronic medical records via a secure web portal, performing comprehensive eye exams with Visual Field Testing (VFT), and accurately documenting exam findings and completing VA forms. Disability determinations are made by the VA, not the provider. Schedule is Part-Time, 3-4 days/week with a caseload of 4-6 Veterans per day. Equipment and tools for documentation are provided. Benefits include health insurance and 401K; training and ongoing support is provided. No on-call shifts and a structured role focused on focused medical assessments without treatment responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Holds an active & unrestricted Optometrist or Ophthalmologist license.
