Job Summary
Provide direct primary eye care and guidance to patients, making appropriate referrals, while supervising Optometry Technicians and other support staff. Deliver strong customer service to patients from diverse backgrounds and cultures, working independently as part of a team. Deliver care at various Gardner clinics in the San Jose and greater Bay Area on an as-needed basis. Compensation is $77.98/hour for this part-time, on-call role.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate degree from a school of Optometry approved by the state of California
- A current California License to practice optometry
- Certificate in Ocular Pharmacology issued by the State Board of Optometry
- An average of 50 post-graduate hours in Optometric-Medical education in the last 2 years
- Current DEA license number (For Regular Part-time/Full-time Optometrist that work 20+ Hours)
