Job Summary
Perform comprehensive eye and vision tests to diagnose defects such as myopia, astigmatism, and glaucoma. Prescribe corrective lenses, eyeglasses, and medications while advising patients on proper eye care techniques. Maintain accurate medical records, book follow-up appointments, and train patients on contact lens maintenance. Refer patients to ophthalmologists for surgery or severe injuries as clinically indicated. You must be a licensed Optometrist with a degree in the field and hands-on experience using examination tools like the ophthalmoscope and tonometer.
