Job Summary
The Optometrist is responsible for providing high-quality, comprehensive eye care, conducting exams, diagnosing vision issues, prescribing treatments, and managing urgent care needs for patients of all ages. This role includes the detection and non-surgical treatment of eye diseases, diabetic eye care, and management of acute eye conditions. The Optometrist will direct staff, participate in quality assurance programs, and engage in community outreach. A Doctor of Optometry (DO) degree, active state optometry license, and BLS CPR certification are required. Spanish speaking skills are desirable.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited optometry program with a Doctor of Optometry (DO) degree
- Active state optometry license
- Valid BLS CPR certificated through AHA/ARC
- Valid California Medical License
- DEA Certificate
- AHA or ARC Certified BLS CPR
- Board Certification within three (3) years of employment
- Satisfactory completion of an accredited residency-training program with Board eligibility or certification
- Ability to clear Credentialing, Background Check and Drug Test
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to speak Spanish highly desirable.
