Job Summary
Conduct eye examinations, diagnose visual disorders, and prescribe corrective lenses and medications for patients. Provide patient education on eye care and preventive practices while maintaining accurate records and reports. Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to support the hospital's vision care objectives. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Optometry, at least three years post-NYSC experience, and a current practicing license.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Optometry from a recognized institution
- Minimum of 3 years post-NYSC experience in a clinical or hospital setting
- Current practicing license with relevant professional body
- Excellent diagnostic and patient management skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
