Job Summary
Provide optometry services at Skilled Nursing Facilities in the Laurel Park area (North Carolina). Perform routine eye exams, diagnose and manage ocular conditions (cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eye), prescribe and adjust eyeglasses, and manage ophthalmic medications. Document visits and maintain patient records; coordinate care with nursing staff and facility teams. Travel between facilities as needed. 1099 independent contractor opportunity with flexible sessions and compensation per patient visit. Responsibilities also include collaboration with facility teams and providing basic eye care in a patient-care-focused environment.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree
- Active state Optometry license
- Strong communication skills and compassionate bedside manner
