Job Summary
Evaluate patients' visual systems, examine eye health, and diagnose visual problems. Provide treatment plans and prescribe eyeglasses or contact lenses as needed. Utilize comprehensive equipment to address primary care needs while independent staff handle preliminary testing, contact lens care, and fittings. Third-party administration manages billing, credentialing, and insurance follow-up, allowing focus on patient care. PA license, OPA school graduate, and NBOC certification required; DPA and TPA certifications mandatory. New graduates considered with preference for licensed experience.
Required Qualifications
- PA license from the State Board of Optometry
- Graduate from an American Optometric Association approved school of Optometry
- National Board Certification
- DPA (Diagnostic Pharmaceutical Agents) certified
- TPA (Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents) certified
Desired Qualifications
- Experience as a licensed Optometrist
