Job Summary
Conduct in-person disability assessments for U.S. Veterans by performing thorough eye exams, including Visual Field Testing (VFT), and reviewing electronic medical records via a secure web portal. Accurately document exam findings and complete required VA forms without treatment or prescribing responsibilities. Work a predictable PRN schedule of one day per month with a caseload of 4-6 veterans daily, utilizing provided equipment and technology. This role supports the Veteran community through structured medical assessments within the VA's disability benefits process.
Required Qualifications
- Holds an active & unrestricted Optometry license
- Proficient in Visual Field Testing (VFT)
- Comfortable using technology to review records and complete documentation
