Job Summary
Diagnose and manage ocular diseases including glaucoma, address ocular urgencies and emergencies, and provide full-service contact lens care. Co-manage surgical patients alongside affiliated ophthalmologists and subspecialists while collaborating with physicians across Primary Care, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Cardiology, Radiology, Urgent Care, and Chronic Care. Utilize the integrated electronic medical record system to ensure seamless communication and continuity of care. This full-time position features a highly desirable four-day workweek.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Optometrist or eligible for licensure in Florida
- Ability to provide primary eye care services
- Ability to manage ocular diseases, including glaucoma
- Ability to manage ocular urgencies and emergencies
- Experience providing full-service contact lens care
- Ability to co-manage surgical patients
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
- Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, ophthalmologists, and specialists
- Must have the ability to pass a background check and drug screening test
