Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive eye and vision tests to diagnose defects such as myopia, astigmatism, and glaucoma. Prescribe corrective lenses, eyeglasses, and medications while advising patients on proper eye care techniques. Maintain accurate medical records and book follow-up appointments as needed. Train patients on contact lens usage and refer severe cases to ophthalmologists for surgery or injury treatment. Ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases and injuries with attention to detail and discretion. Work experience, ophthalmology degree, and hands-on tool proficiency required.
