Job Summary
Facilitate patient flow and assist the doctor in preliminary testing by operating manual lensometers, autorefractors, retinal cameras, and visual field equipment. Verify medical and vision insurances while answering inquiries through phone, email, and in-person requests. Effectively communicate with patients, doctors, and managers, and perform general office duties including cleaning examination equipment. This role supports the Total Patient Experience at Clarkson Eyecare Texas in Frisco, TX. Full-time hours run Monday through Saturday, with availability to work any shift within the 8am-5pm, 7am-2pm, and 8am-1pm windows.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Favorable result on background check as required by state
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs
- Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands
- Visual and auditory acuity—including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus—is required 100% of the time

Desired Qualifications
- Previous medical office experience preferred
- Previous ophthalmic experience strongly preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
