Job Summary
Optometric Technician role assisting optometrist to deliver the Total Patient Experience. Responsibilities include operating optical testing equipment (manual/auto-lensometer, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, GDX or OCT), following testing scripts, maintaining equipment, ensuring HIPAA compliance, interacting professionally with patients, and supporting general office duties. Requires strong teamwork, patient- and doctor-focused service, and availability for potential weekend/schedule changes. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is preferred; travel to other locations may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
- Favorable result on background check as required by state
Desired Qualifications
- Previous medical office experience preferred
- Previous ophthalmic experience strongly preferred
