Job Summary
Optometric Technician to support an optometrist in delivering the Total Patient Experience. Responsible for handling a wide range of duties using optical equipment to perform initial testing (manual and auto-lensometers, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, GDX or OCT) and to prepare patients for exams. Must follow HIPAA, maintain equipment, adhere to scripted testing procedures, interact professionally with patients and staff, perform general office duties, and adapt to schedule changes or weekend shifts. Strong emphasis on patient-centered care, teamwork, and precise operation of testing devices in a clinical office setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Favorable result on background check as required by state
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
