Job Summary
Assist patients with pretesting (blood pressure, NCT, color and stereo, autoperimetry) and warmly welcome patients. Perform administrative duties including answering phones and scheduling appointments, transcribing messages, and conveying patient histories to doctors. Conduct pretesting procedures, advocate for overall health evaluation (Optomap), train patients in contact lens insertion/removal, and order various types of contact lenses. Maintain equipment and doctor’s lanes, manage supplies, and ensure post-test readiness. Requires strong communication, relationship-building to boost patient retention, multitasking in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency with ophthalmic equipment; physical ability to stand for long periods, read computer screens, and handle up to 20 lbs. Saturday availability and travel between practices may be required. Equal Opportunity Employer.
