Optometric Technician - Stein Optometric

Optometric Technician assists with patient care and eye exams, including managing patient records and supporting patient flow throughout the exam. Performs tests to aid the optometrist with vision examinations (visual acuity measurements, depth and color perception, retinal imaging) and supports diagnostic decision-making. Manages scheduling, operates the POS, handles patient transactions, ensures HIPAA-compliant handling of records, supports contact lens exams, adapts to various exam scenarios, and maintains equipment disinfection. Requires weekend/evening availability and a high school diploma with 2+ years in optometry/healthcare; certification in optometry is preferred. Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and customer-service skills are essential, as is the ability to work autonomously and collaborate with Optometrist, Optician, and Practice Manager.
