Job Summary
Assist the optometrist with pre-screenings and testing to keep patient flow efficient. Conduct vision tests and explain preliminary examinations to patients, review prescriptions, and identify special needs. Maintain and prepare equipment in the pre-test room, promote visual field testing and retinal screenings, and ensure accurate paperwork before doctor examinations. Requires strong customer service, ability to learn optical terminology, clear instruction to customers, and excellent organization and multitasking. Training is provided; benefits and opportunities for growth are available.
Required Qualifications
- Previous retail/optical experience preferred, but not required.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to learn optical knowledge.
