Job Summary
Conduct pre-screenings and vision tests on patients prior to the optometrist's examination while maintaining a professional atmosphere in the doctor's office and pretest room. Explain preliminary examinations to patients, promote visual field testing and retinal screenings, and review prescriptions to identify special needs. Complete necessary paperwork, ensure equipment is properly maintained, and consult with the optician, Doctor, or Retail Management when necessary. Fluent in English and Spanish with strong customer service and organizational skills. Schedule includes Sundays off.
Required Qualifications
- Fluent in reading and speaking both English and Spanish
- Understand ocular terminology and diseases and know the ocular abbreviations
- Able to give instruction in a clear and concise manner to customers
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills

- Multitasking and time-management skills
- Professional attitude and appearance
Desired Qualifications
- Previous retail/optical experience preferred, but not required
