Job Summary
Optometric technician assists the optometrist by conducting pre-screenings and testing prior to the Doctor’s examination, explaining types of preliminary examinations, and promoting visual field testing and retinal screenings. Responsibilities include completing necessary paperwork, reviewing prescriptions, maintaining equipment, and ensuring high quality patient care in a professional doctor’s-office environment. Training is provided, and prior optical experience is not required. The role emphasizes strong customer service, clear communication, and organizational skills within a retail optical setting at National Vision (America’s Best brand).
