Job Summary
Optometric Technician position supporting ophthalmologists by conducting pre-screenings and tests to streamline the Doctor’s examination. Requires bilingual English/Spanish communication, strong customer service, ability to learn optical concepts, and proficiency in maintaining a professional office environment. Responsibilities include performing patient pre-tests, explaining preliminary examinations, reviewing prescriptions, assisting with paperwork, promoting visual field testing and retinal screenings, maintaining both doctor’s and pre-test equipment, and collaborating with opticians and management.
