Job Summary
Assist the Optometrist in patient care and provide a flawless patient experience. Pre-screen patients, administer diagnostic tests, gather medical history, coordinate scheduling, educate patients on insurance coverage and vision benefits, train patients on contact lens use, obtain insurance authorizations, post exam charges, document exams and procedures, and coordinate patient flow. Requires strong customer service, 1+ years of relevant experience, HS diploma or equivalent, good communication, multitasking, organization, math skills, and familiarity with electronic medical records; positions available in Lexington, KY, full-time, hourly pay $13-$16.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience (preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to do basic math
