Job Summary
Optometric Technician role in Winfield, KS assisting optometrists with preliminary testing, facilitating patient flow, and supporting Total Patient Experience. Responsibilities include operating optical testing equipment (lensometer, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, GDX or OCT), following testing scripts, HIPAA compliance, patient communication, and coordinating with doctors and managers. Requires a HS diploma/GED, strong customer service, basic computer skills, willingness to learn, and availability to work varied shifts; travel to other site locations may be necessary. Prior medical office experience and associates/bachelor’s in Business Administration or Healthcare Management are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients
- Favorable result on background check
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
- Travel to other site locations may be necessary
