Job Summary

Optometric Technician assists with a world-class Total Patient Experience by handling duties such as facilitating patient flow, assisting the doctor in preliminary testing, and verifying insurances. Aided by a range of ophthalmic equipment (lensometer, auto-lensometer, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, GDX or OCT) and following testing scripts, the role emphasizes professional interaction with patients and colleagues, HIPAA compliance, and flexible scheduling to meet business needs. Requires strong customer service, basic computer skills, and willingness to learn; involves travel to other site locations as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Favorable result on Background Check
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excitement to learn and grow
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Management preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Travel to other site locations may be necessary
