Job Summary
The Optometric Technician assists optometrists by performing initial testing, operating optical equipment, and ensuring a superior patient experience. Duties include using equipment such as auto-lensometers and visual field tests, cleaning examination equipment, and supporting a positive work environment. Candidates should possess at least a high school diploma or GED, with a minimum of one year of experience interacting with patients. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Favorable result on background check as required by state
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- Previous medical office experience preferred
- Previous ophthalmic experience strongly preferred
