Optometric Technician

Job Summary
Optometric Technician assists the optometrist in delivering a world-class Total Patient Experience by performing initial testing with optical equipment to prepare patients for exams. Responsibilities include operating manual and auto-lensometers, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, GDX or OCT; following testing scripts; cleaning examination equipment; interacting professionally with all staff and patients; handling general office duties; and adapting to schedule changes, including possible weekends. Requires HIPAA compliance, strong teamwork, and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools. High school diploma or GED required; minimum 1 year of customer/patient interaction experience; ability to work in a standard office/clinical setting with potential travel to other locations; EyeCare Partners is an equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Favorable background check as required by state
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
- Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
