Optometric Technician

Job Summary
Assist the optometrist in delivering a world-class Total Patient Experience by handling essential testing and preparation for exams. Operate ophthalmic equipment such as manual/auto-lensometer, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, GDX or OCT; follow testing scripts and ensure strict HIPAA compliance. Maintain and clean examination equipment, perform related office duties, and contribute to a positive, patient-focused environment. Availability may include weekends and schedule changes to meet business needs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Favorable result on background check as required by state
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
- Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred
