Job Summary
Operate manual lensometers, autorefractors, retinal cameras, and visual field equipment to perform initial testing for patient exams. Follow scripting for photos and visual activities while cleaning examination tools including tonometer tips. Build relationships with patients by embracing the Total Patient Experience and complying with HIPAA policies. Maintain a positive, team-oriented environment through courteous interactions with all employees. Perform general office duties and cleaning as assigned by the manager. Commit to flexible work hours that may include weekends or schedule changes to meet business needs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Favorable result on background check
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs
- Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands
- Visual and auditory acuity—including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
- Commitment to work hours that meet the needs of the business which may include weekends, schedule changes or an extended schedule
- Ability to interact with all levels of employees in a courteous, professional manner at all time
Desired Qualifications
- Previous medical office experience
- Previous ophthalmic experience
