Job Summary
Clinical Specialist/Optometric Assistant dedicated to a great patient experience by preparing patients for onsite or remote eye examinations, conducting pre-exam tests, and clearly explaining each step. Acts as a liaison between patients and Optometrists, supporting both in-person and remote examinations, handling EMR documentation, insurance preauthorization, appointment scheduling, and patient education on contact lenses and plan benefits. Requires ability to work flexible schedules including travel between locations, with HIPAA/security compliance and a strong focus on customer service.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience
- HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience
- Optical or Healthcare background preferred
