Job Summary
Prepare patients for onsite and remote examinations by administering diagnostic tests, explaining the process, and documenting results in the EMR. Assist doctors with patient care, triage ocular emergencies, and answer clinical questions in person or by telephone. Manage patient flow, schedule appointments, and transition patients to retail associates while conveying doctor recommendations. Handle contact lens orders, pull trials, and instruct patients on lens care. Maintain clean clinical environments and ensure equipment is covered nightly. Work flexible schedules including travel between locations and complete required clinical certifications.
Required Qualifications
- One (1) year of related experience
- HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience
- Medical office/business professionalism
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret insurance forms
- Ability to read English
- Ability to operate and enter data into electronic software platforms efficiently and accurately
- Ability to work flexible schedules to meet changing business demands to include traveling to other locations
- Ability to work changing schedules to meet business demands to include travel between stores
- Work inside store location
- Use computers, electronics tablets, and pre-testing instruments effectively
- Reach above shoulder continuously
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
- Close Vision (clear vision at 20" or less)
- Must comply with the Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA)
- Must explicitly adhere to all data security guidelines established within the Company's Privacy & Security Training Program
