Job Summary
Optometric Assistant/Clinical Specialist responsible for preparing patients for onsite and remote eye examinations, performing pre-exam testing, documenting results in EMR, assisting doctors during exams, guiding remote eye exams including pre-testing and remote conferencing, coordinating with retail staff for patient handoff, explaining plan benefits, preauthorizing insurance, managing exam bookings, maintaining patient records, instructing on contact lenses, stocking lenses, and supporting HIPAA compliance. Requires flexibility to travel to other store locations and strong patient service orientation; education includes HS diploma or equivalent and related healthcare experience.
