Job Summary
Clinical Specialist/Optometric Assistant to prepare patients for onsite and remote examinations, perform pre-exam diagnostic tests, explain each step of the process, and serve as liaison between patients and Optometrists. Responsibilities include assisting with eye examinations, documenting results in EMR, guiding remote eye exams (including pre-testing, testing, and video conferencing), transitioning patients to a retail associate after exams, understanding plan benefits, preauthorizing insurance, coordinating scheduling, maintaining patient records, instructing on contact lens handling, and ensuring HIPAA compliance. Requires ability to work flexible schedules, including travel between store locations; minimum one year of related experience and HS diploma or GED.
Required Qualifications

- Optical or Healthcare background preferred
- Medical office/business professionalism required
- HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience
