Job Summary
Prepare patients for onsite and remote examinations by administering diagnostic tests, explaining the process, and triaging ocular emergencies. Complete patient registration, gather medical history and ocular health data, and accurately document all results in the EMR. Assist doctors with eye exams, initiate video conferencing for remote appointments, and transition patients to retail associates with clinical recommendations. Manage exam books, schedule appointments, handle no-shows, and instruct patients on contact lens care while maintaining a clean clinical environment.
Required Qualifications
- One (1) year of related experience
- HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience
- Medical office/business professionalism
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret insurance forms
- Ability to read English
- Ability to operate and enter data into electronic software platforms efficiently and accurately
- Ability to work flexible schedules to meet changing business demands to include traveling to other locations
- Ability to work changing schedules to meet business demands to include travel between stores
- Work inside store location
- Reach above shoulder continuously
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
- Close Vision (clear vision at 20" or less)
- Must comply with the Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA)
- Must explicitly adhere to all data security guidelines established within the Company's Privacy & Security Training Program
