Job Summary
Schedule appointments, verify insurance, and perform pre-testing while gathering patient history. Assist the doctor with eye exams and diagnostic testing, including visual fields, OCT, and fundus photos. Train patients on contact lens insertion, removal, and care. Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies to support smooth patient flow throughout the day. Handle administrative office tasks. Work 3-4 days a week, including some Saturdays, within our small, dedicated team at Optometry Care serving the military community.
Required Qualifications
- Has at least 1–2 years of experience as an optometric technician
- Is comfortable using optometric equipment and exam software
- Is a strong communicator with a passion for patient care
- Is organized, reliable, and a team player
- Has a high school diploma (or equivalent)
Desired Qualifications
- Has at least 1–2 years of experience as an optometric technician (preferred, but will train the right candidate)
