Set up and operate coating systems for applying antireflective, mirror, and specialty layers onto optical components. Program and run deposition equipment, measure spectral properties of coated layers, and manage coating charges while cleaning and handling parts with precision tools. Identify process errors and derive improvements for the workflow. Requires a completed fine optics training or relevant industrial mechanic experience, strong fine motor skills, and willingness to work in 2- and 3-shift rotations. This 1-year fixed-term role is part of Carl Zeiss Jena's shared production unit focused on service and special order manufacturing.
