Job Summary
Oversee assigned inside lane eye exam operations and mobile clinic duties, conducting pre-tests, fitting frames, and dispensing glasses to student patients. Transport equipment to schools and community organizations, setup clinic operations, manage inventory, and complete daily reports. Maintain driver safety standards while commuting and ensure all work areas remain clean and organized. Make follow-up calls to patient caregivers and adhere to Vision To Learn health and safety protocols. Work Monday through Friday with 2-3 Saturdays per year during school hours.
Required Qualifications
- Optician Diploma
- Valid driver's license
- Good driving record
- Familiarity with greater Philadelphia area geography, including Philadelphia, Delaware, and Chester counties
- Familiarity with phone GPS
- Successful track record of working with children and diverse types of people
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to exert well-paced mobility for an 8-hour shift including standing, walking, bending and squatting
- Must pass company and applicable background checks and drug test
- Must pass a Department of Justice background check/fingerprinting (LiveScan)
- Child abuse history clearance
- TB clearance

- Optician Certification (COA, COT, NCLE, and ABO)
- Experience using Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word
- Ability to quickly learn EHR reporting, and project management systems
- Spanish skills
