Job Summary
Optician to fit spectacles and contact lenses, explain pricing and insurance (primarily VSP, Eyemed and Medicaid), order contact lenses, take facial measurements for perfect fit, assist with frame selection and adjustments, process optical orders and exams, and ensure HIPAA compliance. Role emphasizes customer service, product knowledge of ophthalmic devices (bifocals, progressives, anti-glare coatings), and providing patients with tailored eyewear solutions. Work hours include Tue–Thu 9AM–6PM, Fri 9AM–6PM, Sat 8:00AM–1:00PM. Bilingual Spanish skills are required;Previous optical experience is optional.
