Job Summary
Optician needed at the Columbia, MO VA Hospital (PDS Optical) to deliver outstanding eyewear service to Veterans. Responsibilities include providing friendly, professional service; ensuring high customer satisfaction; collaborating with team; fitting, adjusting, repairing, and selling eyewear; and complying with background check requirements. Must have minimum 2 years of optician experience; ABO Certification preferred. Proficient use of lensometers, pupilometers, and computers; knowledge of VA benefits and discounts for optical services. Competitive full-time schedule Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM with benefits including health insurance, 401(k) matching, flexible spending account, and more.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of optician experience
- ABO Certification preferred
