Optician

Optician will sell, fit and dispense eyewear to patients, remaining current with eyewear trends. Responsibilities include evaluating prescriptions and visual requirements, recommending lenses and frames, measuring pupillary distance and other ocular measurements, selling eyewear and related products, assisting customers with frame selection and adjustments, teaching customers how to use contact lenses, determining prescriptions with a lensometer when needed, and ordering frames and lenses. Desired qualifications include ABO/NCLE certification and Optical Studies program graduation.
