Job Summary
Interpret prescriptions and consult with physicians to help patients select appropriate eyewear. Take optical measurements, order frames from the laboratory, and perform quality inspections on lenses and frames. Adjust eyewear using appropriate tools, instruct patients on cleaning and handling, and make necessary repairs. Maintain equipment and manage inventory of supplies. Prioritize customer service by assisting with fittings and educating patients on proper care. This role requires a Licensed Dispensing Optician with ABO and NCLE certification, working a flexible Monday-Friday schedule in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous optical experience
- Licensed Dispensing Optician (LDO)
- ABO
- NCLE
- Detail oriented
- Reliable
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills, including Word and Excel
- Flexible schedule working Monday-Friday
