Job Summary
Dispense and fit glasses and contacts from prescriptions written by Optometrists/Ophthalmologists; determine patients' wants and needs and sell to exceed expectations; assist patients in selecting frames matching style, color, and facial measurements; operate auto-lensometer and lensometer; educate and recommend lenses, coatings, and frames; collect measurements (bridge, eye size, temple length, seg heights, vertex distance, pupillary distance, pantoscopic tilt); dispense orders and manage frame inventory; ensure policies are followed; support Total Patient Experience and maintain organized, fully stocked areas; perform general office duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One year in a customer interactive position
- Ability to read and interpret insurance forms
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- HIPAA compliance and awareness of PHI
