Job Summary
Optician/Eyeware sales role providing Total Patient Experience in an optical/clinical setting. Dispense and fit glasses and contacts, working from prescriptions written by Optometrists/Ophthalmologists, and connect patient needs to available goods and services. Responsibilities include determining patient wants, assisting with frame selection, measuring bridge/eye size/temple length/pantoscopic tilt/pupillary distance, operating auto-lensometer and manual lensometer, dispensing glasses/contacts, repairing and adjusting frames, and educating on lenses, coatings, and frames to suit patient needs. Training provided. Located in Affton, Missouri with potential travel to other locations as needed. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong visual/auditory acuity required; ABO/NCLE certifications are preferred but not required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Favorable result on background check as required by state
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
- High school diploma or GED required.
